Many a brave women and men have fought breast cancer and through medicine and research breakthroughs have beaten the odds. We honor those who we have lost to the disease. May their struggle and sacrifice pave the way for others afflicted by this this disease to come out triumphant.

In Memory of Gilda J. Gegenheimer

Longtime bookkeeper and manager at the Dry Dock Cafe in Algiers Point, Gilda touched so many lives through the years with her kindness and beautiful smile. She will be sadly missed. In lieu of flowers, a $500 donation in her memory was made to the Gayle and Tom Benson Cancer Center at Ochsner Foundation Hospital.
