Our Vision is Lofty. Our Mission is Laser Focused.

Krewe de Pink’s mission is to directly support breast cancer research at the Tulane Cancer Center. The funds we donate are considered non designated, different from designated grant funds. The center can use these funds to purchase specialized equipment and supplies and fund researchers allowing them to investigate other novel therapies discovered in their research but not covered under a specific grant.

“Krewe de Pink is a perfect example of how our community partnerships both impact and direct our research initiatives,” said Prescott Deininger, PhD, Tulane Cancer Center. “Their passion for this cause generates the unrestricted funds allowing our researchers to pursue theories and projects they might not have been able to otherwise. We can only capitalize on these unique opportunities as a result of the support of community advocates like Krewe de Pink, and we are extremely grateful. Simply put, we couldn’t do all we wish without their support.

Krewe de Pink funds currently support the work of Drs. Bridgett Collins-Burow and Matthew Burow and their team, whose joint laboratories investigate novel therapeutic targets for triple negative breast cancer, the mechanisms of LKB1 kinase signaling in breast cancer tumorigenisis and metastasis, and the effects of activated foods and extracts on human health using in vitro cancer cell models, among other projects.

Below is a wish list of equipment and supplies we are raising money for the research center to purchase. 100% of our event proceeds and donations goes toward this endeavor.
